Fresh, summery, and tasty! This strawberry jalapeno and pineapple salsa is perfect with crisp tortilla chips, or as a topper for some grilled chicken.
Aren’t you just loving the fresh summer produce? We sure are… especially the strawberries! For this salsa I combined the sweet strawberries, spicy jalapenos, and the sweet tropical pineapples… and man oh man… you won’t want to stop eating it!
So I know that last week on the blog was a LOT of sponsored posts… and for that, I apologize. I like to spread the sponsored posts out so they’re not all together, but alas, I don’t get to choose when they’re posted. They just happened to ALL be last week.
For those of you who aren’t bloggers, I’d like to explain a little about why I choose to do sponsored posts. Running a blog is an expense… from web hosting, email services, website themes, and just down to buying the ingredients to make the recipes, test them out, the equipment to photograph them, as well as my time (about 50+ hours a week). And the way I help keep all that going is by having brands pay for me to use their products and come up with yummy recipes 🙂 I like sponsored posts because they challenge me to think outside the box, come up with ideas I wouldn’t have normally come up with on my own. And rest assured, I only choose brands to work with that I personally like and use all the time. My opinions can’t be bought 🙂

I can’t even begin to tell you how delicious this salsa is! I wish I could just pass you a bowl 🙂 All the flavors really come together! There’s really no step by step pictures here, because you’ll just be chopping up the ingredients 🙂
The next time you’re having a party, you should make this salsa… people will be raving about it all night long, plus it’s unique! I’d take it to a party, but I get greedy with my salsa, I don’t want to share lol. I’ve made a small version of this just for an afternoon snack for myself…. shhhhh, don’t tell anyone 😉
This is great on some crispy tortilla chips (or even with a spoon), but it really shines when it’s made to go with a protein. Having some fish tacos? Top them with this salsa! Grilling up some chicken or pork? Top them with this salsa!
You can customize these ingredients and switch up the fruits if you’d like… mango, cantaloupe, oranges… they can all be switched out for the pineapple. I would keep the strawberries and jalapeno though, they really go SO well together!
I left the seeds out of my salsa, because I wanted this to be family friendly, but if you like it hot, by all means, leave them in 😀

- 1 pint fresh strawberries tops sliced off and diced
- 1/3 medium red onion finely minced
- 1 fresh jalapeno seeded and finely diced
- 3/4 cup fresh pineapple diced
- handful cilantro minced
- Juice of 1 lime
- pinch of salt and pepper
- Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl. toss together.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.
